Our Little Ballerina

Call me crazy, but ever since I can remember I've dreamed of having a little girl who would take ballet.  Maybe it's because I wanted to live vicariously through them.  So when I realized that Kayla likes to move around a lot and dance, I jumped at the chance to sign her up for a class.  It's not professional by any means (how much can you really teach a group of 3-5 year olds?), but it was fun for her and we both made some new friends in the process.  The last day of class the teacher invited parents and family members to come watch one of their classes, so we made sure to take as many pictures and video as we could.  The second video is kind of long and it's not very ballet-like.  I guess at the end of each class the teacher would do a more creative dance type thing where they just do all sorts of types of movement.  Still cute though.

Thanks for sharing . . I felt for a moment that we were there. Kayla, thanks for dancing so well and paying attention to the directions. You are a fun girl to watch and we look forward to being with you again soon. Love, Grandma Phyllis and Grandpa Rollie
