Who knew?

I discovered something yesterday. Going to the library is really fun! I know you're all probably thinking "duh!", but you have to understand that, as much of a voracious reader as I am, going to the library has never been on my top ten list of fun things to do. Until yesterday. Our local library has small concerts that happen at least once a month, and last night our family decided to go to one of them. It was a group called "Oberon the Possum King". That name alone tells you what kind of fun we had. Not only was it fun for the kids, but the parents had fun taking pictures, watching their kids dance, and tapping their feet to the good music. All in all it was a great time, and we're all looking forward to next time.

What a great thing! Kids and music are two of the best things in the world!

I am always amazed at how much there is in a community for families to enjoy if you just notice. And so much of it costs nothing or very little. Libraries are really wonderful in what they provide for communities and families. From your pictures, I see that Urbana is quite a lovely place.

Kristin, we seriously go to our library at least twice a week. IT IS SO MUCH FUN! They have the best programs... and of course, books and books and books!

We love the library too! The best part about it is that things are usually free! Nice find :)

That sounds great. Actually the library is a big draw in NYC because they have reading time for babies and toddlers, and it's good!

By the way - how did you do the background on your blog? It's cute!
